Davison-Designed Products Abound at the 2010 International Home and Housewares Show

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PITTSBURGH, PA. – The Davison “D” made its mark at the 2010 International Home and Housewares Show, where 60,000 attendees from over 125 countries got to see all the latest innovations in consumer products for the home.

“The show was wonderful,” said Davison’s Vice President of Licensing, who traveled to Chicago with Davison’s President and Senior Category Director to meet with corporations and buyers. The many Davison-designed products, samples and packaging that were shown received great feedback.

“What really opened up my eyes at the show is how powerful the Davison name is becoming in the design world,” said the VP. Counting finished product samples, as well as products that are on their way or are already on the market, there were well over 50 samples at the show carrying the Davison name.

“There were so many products at the show it was hard to keep track of them all!”

One of the largest product lines shown was our new line of innovative kitchen utensils we created for Swing Away, which “was very well received,” he said.

The line will make its marketplace debut this year on QVC, as will five other Davison-designed products, including a new type of silicone bakeware.

The Housewares Show also featured several products that debuted at last year’s show and have been going strong ever since, including the Meatball Baker (aka Perfect Meatball) and the Party on the Go food travel caddy.

More than 20 Davison-designed products were displayed in the booth of Jokari, including several new items we created for their new “wellness line.” In addition, our team met with numerous companies and showed several products that are in Honey Can Do’s 2010 catalog. A major retailer was “impressed by the presentation,” and the manufacturer is looking to Davison for “innovation and new products to keep flowing their way,” said the VP.

Metro Design also featured many Davison products that have recently hit the market, including the innovative Slice and Serve and the Pizza Keeper, as well as a new line of flatware.

“They think that’s going to be a very good item for them,” the vice president said. “The feedback has been extremely positive.”
