The Surfboard has been reinvented!

Not much innovation has come to the surfboard since it was first invented in 1962. How can you innovate a piece of wood and Styrofoam anyway? Well, the team at Jet Surf found a way. Their name says it all, yes ladies and gentlemen they successfully reinvented the surfboard but with a twist, it has a built-in motor similar to a jet ski!

Jet Surf wanted to go above and beyond the traditional surfboard approach (as if speeding down a 30-foot wave wasn’t exciting enough). Thanks to their innovation, adrenaline junkies and avid surfboarders alike can now surf, without waves! With this new state-of-the-art surfboard, you can surf just about anywhere. The board has an intake, very similar to how a jet ski operates. The user is able to control the speed of the board by the handle controls while they rely on their hips to steer, just like a regular surfboard.

It’s amazing how far technology has come in recent years but looking back who would have ever thought of adding a propulsion device to a surfboard? Its ideas like this that change the future of; in this case a sport, forever. These are the types of ideas that our team members always look forward to hearing about. It’s this type of thinking that pave way for innovation and development of “a better way” of doing something.

Imagine looking forward to a day of surfing, yet sadly when you arrive at the beach the water is motionless. Thanks to the crazy idea of adding a two-stroke engine to a surfboard that is no longer something to worry about! At first, an idea may seem far-fetched, and in some cases may seem absolutely impossible. However, with the desire and will to not give up, anything is possible. If the person behind this idea hadn’t pursued it, an entirely new sport would have never been created!
