Savvy RV Enthusiasts not Hindered by Sagging Economy, or Leveling Hassles!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PITTSBURGH, PA. – September 28, 2009 – Like everyone else, RV owners are concerned about the economy and looking for ways to cut costs and save money. Many RVers are adjusting by traveling closer to home and staying longer in one place, according to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s fall / winter survey. By taking trips in their “homes on wheels,” RVers don’t need to spend on airfare, hotels and restaurant meals. The survey also shows that 60 percent of RVers plan to take more mini-vacations this fall/winter compared to last year to destinations such as seasonal festivals, fall foliage tours and holiday family gatherings. One of the biggest reasons is because of the value that RV vacations offer.

In the past, many RVers unfortunately spent precious vacation hours trying to level their rig. Savvy RVers are discovering, however, that the leveling process doesn’t have to be so time consuming. An innovative new leveler is fast becoming a hit among RV enthusiasts and retailers, alike. The RV Leveler, developed for CIPA by new product development firm Davison, provides an efficient and time-saving way to accurately level a recreational vehicle, as well as a boat trailer, deck or even a tree house.

The two-piece system eliminates all the back-and-forth and guesswork of a standard leveler. The RV Leveler’s base communicates wirelessly via radio frequency with a corresponding handheld device that operates up to 100 feet away. The four-light LED display on both units enables the user to see immediately where adjustments are needed; green LEDs show where an RV is level and the red LEDs show where it is not.

The RV Leveler has been “a top seller” at Cabela’s, a specialty retailer of outdoor recreation merchandise. It was also featured in the 2009 Buyer’s Guide of RV Lifestyle, which stated: “Our road test teams are going wild over the RV Leveler … It’s simple, affordable, and it works like a charm.”

The product was created inside the Motor Speedway of Davison’s Inventionland. The corporate project was developed for CIPA, an innovative industry leader in automotive mirrors and other aftermarket products for more than 65 years. CIPA currently manufactures its products in the U.S., Asia and France, and continues to set sales volume records in almost every category.

Davison is a new product development company that provides a variety of services to inventors, corporations and entrepreneurs. Products designed by Davison have sold in stores across the U.S., including Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Home Depot, Sears, K-Mart, FAO Schwarz, JCPenney, Cabela’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
