Stick it to FB friends and neighbors who over-share by soaking in some real photography, shot on real film, developed by real people. Fans of the golden age of photography can slip away into a celluloid celebration at the George Eastman House in upstate New York.

The George Eastman House, which celebrates George Eastman who was almost solely responsible for bringing photography to the mainstream, is the only historic home and garden in the world where one can see first-hand how an American inventor and entrepreneur lived, as well as learn about the history, growth, and development of the industry he created and its impact on the world today.

Current exhibitions include Silver and Water by Los Angeles artist Lauren Bon, which consists of 19 amazing vista prints produced around America with her Metabolic Studio Optics Division. The photos are a product of the Liminal Camera, a gigantic pinhole device made out of a shipping container that contains both the camera operators and a processing facility.

As you tour Rochester, keep two things in mind: one, the mayor looks exactly like George Eastman; and two, there’s a fantastic amount of things to do and explore in this northern New York hamlet.

No city should be explored on an empty liver, which makes visiting the home of Genesee Brewery even more fortuitous. Genesee has been brewing since 1878 (and making manly commercials since 1985) and features a century-old, 9,200 square-foot packaging center that has been transformed into a beer destination, featuring interactive exhibits, multimedia content, gift shop, pilot brewery and pub-style restaurant. To get a craftier beer experience, visit during the city’s annual beer expo in June.

When satiated, take in a Rochester Red Wings game, the triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. Enjoy America’s past time as you marvel at major league talent at minor league prices. The most expensive ticket at Frontier Field is just under $13, and every Monday features free hot dogs, a snack and a soda for the first 500 children.

Round out your visit to Rochester by coming full circle. Head back to the George Eastman House for the 11th annual High Falls Film Festival (April 18 – 20, 2013) and take in some of the best independent films from all over the world.

Just because photos can be tedious, doesn’t mean the film medium or one of the greatest American inventors was. So drop those preconceived notions this blog filled you with in the earlier graphs and treat yourself to some beautiful photography and the beautiful people and city of Rochester, N.Y.

Recently, Health Enterprises, Inc announced via press release that the TheraPED would be included in the star-studded 13^th Annual BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis VIP Gift Bags! The release reads:

TheraPED soothes stay-at-home blogger

TheraPED once again is earning rave reviews from the stay-at-home mom set. In a recent blog post, One Bored Mommy – a blog determined to give honest product reviews, offer amazing giveaways and provide discount offers “exclusively” to the One Bored Mommy readers – tested the product along with her daughter. She writes:

“I’ve told you guys…just recently…that my feet have become severely uncomfortable in my favorite stilettos now (insert sad face here)…thanks to my ‘being barefoot’ or ‘wearing only flip flops’ habit.  It’s horrible to even wear them for an hour at church…my feet are just screaming for relief!

I received a product I am excited to tell you about…that not only offers my feet a soothing spa-like treatment…but they are pretty cute when you wear them too!

This time, they’ve recruited the help of some of our very talented and always inventive Creationeers.  Judging from the photo (Jason Rogge with another Creationeer asleep in the car), our creative team has been working so hard that they’ve been having a hard time keeping up… or staying up!

We checked in with Davison’s Vice President of Business Development and Licensing to see what kind of pet product news we could dig up!

“We have lots going on,” said our VP, with the same sly grin he gives when he’s about to tempt us with big news.  “I am going to Bed Bath & Beyond this week… and PetSmart next week with Hugs Pet Products to discuss the Toys R Us pet line we are working on with them.”

While he didn’t divulge any more top secret information, we’ll be eagerly waiting to share the latest product news, just as soon as we hear it!

What we can share is the MASSIVE list of places where our team will be “trying longer” to get Davison-designed pet products on store shelves this fall!

In August alone, our team will be meeting with Walgreens in Chicago and Bed Bath & Beyond in New York, not to mention attending the C & S Fall Show, West Plains Vet Show and the MidStates Fall Show.

September brings more meetings and more trade show exposure.  First up is product review at Menards in Wisconsin; then, it’s off to the Siemer Enterprises Fall Show in Illinois, and back to Wisconsin for the Prince Distributors Fall Show.  Finally, it’s all the way to Las Vegas for the SuperZoo Show!

Product reviews and trade shows continue in October, when our team revisits Menards in Wisconsin and attends the H.H. Backer Christmas Show and Non-Foods Marketing Show in Chicago and Atlanta, respectively.

A Hugs Pet Products representative also spilled the beans on some upcoming Hugs products that you may see on the stores shelves at Bed Bath & Beyond and Petco this fall.

“Coming soon… Pugz apparel line [which includes] harnesses, coats, leg warmers and throws!” he said, also adding that the company is working on a line of cat toys, too!

With all of this awesome news from the road, we think our licensing partner summed it up best for us.

“As you can see, we are very busy doing everything we can to get in front of customers and prospects,” he said.
