On Friday, May 8, our friends at Hugs Pet Products, who we have designed and licensed products to, had some exciting news to share!

Their products were featured on EVINE Live! But, the excitement didn’t stop there. Why? Because Paula Deen was showcasing the Hugs Pet Products Silicone Dog Treat Pan and Dog Treat Mixes during the “Paula Deen’s Kitchen” segment!

In the segment, which aired from 5- 6:30 p.m. EST, Deen was touting the Davison-designed Silicone Dog Treat Pan that we licensed to Hugs Pet Products!

We created the Silicone Dog Treat Pan for a client who wanted to provide a healthy alternative to store bought treats. The flexible baking pan enables health-conscious pet owners the chance to create fresh, homemade treats for Fido!

The baking pan makes 15 paw-shaped dog treats and the silicone center is flexible for easy removal of the baked goods. The pan also has a steel-reinforced rim on the inside, which provides a sturdier frame for carrying from the oven to the countertop!

Paula Deen, being an animal lover herself, wanted to help pet owners bake paw-shaped treats for their canine friends, so she came up with a delicious chicken-flavored recipe.  And, you thought that Paula Deen was only whipping up creative products and recipes for humans!

Let’s just say that your furry four-legged friends will be begging for these quality products from Paula Deen!

The Global Pet Expo begins today in Orlando, Florida, and we are excited to see what the next few days have in store for the pet product industry!

Why? Because the Orange County Convention Center floor is the stage for Hugs Pet Products to showcase their latest and greatest products!

But, that’s not the only reason that we are excited. In fact, two Davison-designed products that are licensed with Hugs Pet Products will be on display at the pet industry’s largest annual trade show!

The Chillz Mat as well as the Silicone Dog Treat Pan, which are both client inventions, will be in the lime light at the Hugs Pet Products booth!

Could you imagine seeing your own pet product or other new invention idea being displayed at the Global Pet Expo or another big industry trade show, too? Though a typical Davison-developed product is not shown at a trade show, this doesn’t mean that you still shouldn’t pursue your invention dreams. If you want to possibly turn your idea into a tangible product, take the first step, and submit your idea, today!

“I received an interesting line of dog toys from a Missouri-based company called Hugs Pet Products: the Hydro line.

The line consists of five differently shaped rubber toys: Hydro Bone, Hydro Ball, Hydro Saucer, Hydro Ring and Hydro Fetch. Not only do these provide pooches with hours of chewing, fetching and general enjoyment, these also hydrate dogs as they play.”

These dog toys invented by dog parent and Davison client, Diane DiRaimo, contain a unique sponge/foam core that, when soaked in water, absorb the water via small holes; the water is gradually released when a dog chews on the toy. The dogs get hydrated, without the water dripping onto a floor, car seat or other surface. These toys can also be frozen.

The toys received a favorable review from pet products pundit Dr. Marty Becker on “Good Morning America,” and were showcased in the lifestyle magazine Real Simple and were accorded an Editor’s Choice Award from Dog Fancy magazine.

These are just some of the innovative pet products available from this company, a family business that was founded in 2009 by pet lovers Katie and Chad Brewer as a division of their existing business, Maze Innovations, Inc.

The Brewers are parents to a virtual zoo consisting of several dogs, cats, goats and sheep. Oh, and they have three human kids.

The Neat Things In Life blog recently posted a review and held a giveaway of the Davison-designed Silicone Dog Treat Pan, which is licensed by Hugs Pet Products.

Jammie Morey, the author of the blog, celebrated the pan as a safe alternative to the commercial pet-food offerings that have recently suffered numerous recalls.

“Just like my daughter, I plan on spoiling “Bones” [our new puppy]! After we got him, I started looking online for some dog treats to make and I found an awesome site. So, when I was contacted by Able and Active, I was a bit excited when I learned I was going to be reviewing several awesome items for Bones… one of them being the Hugs Pet Products [Silicone Dog Treat Pan]!
