That’s right, this week, we’re unleashing how the humane tethering device, the Better Tether, was made.

Ed Yoder and his dogs were inseparable; so, it was only natural that when Ed was outside gardening, mowing the lawn or just enjoying some sun, his pups wanted to be there, too.  But, Ed got tired of his dogs knocking over their food and water with their traditional tethers while he completed his yard work.

Ed longed for a better way to allow his pets to remain outdoors with him.  So, he started working on an idea that would provide more convenience for his pets… and for him.

Ed’s Better Tether is devised with a divided dish that holds food and water, solving pets’ outdoor hunger and hydration needs.  Unlike traditional tethers, the Better Tether actually sits at ground-level, thanks to a strong steel post that securely anchors the dish into the ground.

Since pet owners attach their beloved pets’ leashes to the steel post, the Better Tether is impossible to spill and even avoids the lawnmower, because of where it sits.  The dish is bright orange, too: so, it’s visible day or night.

Today, we’re stepping into a new pet invention that has made walking in rain, snow, sleet or any other condition a little more comfortable for our four-legged friends.  Let’s venture through how Pugz Shoes were made.

It all started with Kay Thompson, who loved taking her two Shelties, Rough Spot and Autumn Angel, out for their daily walks.  But, Michigan winters were hard on her pups’ paws.  Not only were conditions wet and cold, but the chemicals that were used to treat roads and sidewalks were also damaging.

Kay set out to solve the problem of soggy, soaked paws.

Providing warmth and protection, Pugz are made of a breathable faux leather and faux wool that keep paws clean and dry.  Their soft, cushioned soles also comfort paws and protect hardwood floors from scratch marks.

Finally, Pugz are designed with an adjustable hook-and-loop strap that ensures a secure fit on any pet.

Recently, the Silicone Dog Treat Pan and Pugz shoes have shared some major media attention.

For our four-legged, tail-wagging, homemade-treat-loving friends, it’s a dog-eat-treat world and Modern Dog (MD) magazine confirmed it when they featured the Davison-designed Silicone Dog Treat Pan in their spring issue.

The pan, which was licensed by Hugs Pet Products, appeared in MD’s “Stuff Your Dog Wants” feature that also included other canine must-haves like chewable elk antlers and a hemp Eco Rattler.

“… whether you’re baking dog biscuits or making pupsicles, its got you covered… now who wants a treat?” the magazine asks.

For our four-legged friends who would like a little bounce in their step, Pugz shoes are “what they want” and the TODAY Show’s Dylan Dreyer proved it when she packed up her pup and tried on a pair at the Orlando Global Pet Expo last month.

“All of our furry and feathery friends have something to keep their heads, shoulders, knees and toes warm, cool and dry,” said Dryer, after she tried Pugz on her own pup.

Hope all is well with you!!! Every now and then, I visit Davison’s website to see all the new products. [I] just viewed many of the Dare to Invent videos of the many products and the individuals connected to them. They are fun to watch and quite amusing. It was even more fun when I stumbled across the Hydro Bone. Davison has a very impressive staff of creativity!!!
