It’s hard to believe, but the 2015 SuperZoo is right around the corner!

In case you didn’t know, SuperZoo is the National Show for Pet Retailers and will be held from Tuesday, July 21 through Thursday, July 23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Forget about the saying, “What happens in Vegas…stays in Vegas,” because we are going to fetch all of the exciting SuperZoo news and throw it right back to you!

As we speak, our friends over at Hugs Pet Products, who‘ve licensed several of our innovative pet products, are getting ready for an exciting couple of days at the major pet industry trade show.

As a leader in products that keep pets cool, Hugs will obviously be bringing along their most popular cooling products that we designed for them. These include the Arctic Freeze and Hydro lines!

But, that’s not all! Hugs will also be showcasing their new copper healing line and they’ll be revealing a variety of other new products, too!

Needless to say, we can’t wait to share our feedback with you! Stay tuned for updates!

When our client, Diane, thought of a Better Way to keep her pups hydrated on long car rides, do you think she ever imagined that her new product idea, the Hydro Bone, would be featured on national TV as a life-saving solution for helping pets beat summer heat?

Thanks to Fox & Friends, the Hydro line that spawned from Diane’s idea was featured yesterday on the show that reaches millions of viewers nationwide!

Celebrity vet Dr. Carol Osborne led a pup into a pool where the Hydro Fetch and Hydro Ring were floating alongside the Arctic Freeze Ball and Arctic Freeze Bone!

Touting innovative products that help keep pets cool and hydrated during the dog days of summer, Osborne discussed the importance of protecting pets during intense summer heat.

Yes, that is exactly what our client, Diane, wanted to do for her pets; now, that’s exactly what her Hydro line of products can do for pets all over the world!

As you know, Diane’s new product idea was licensed by Hugs Pet Products. Since that time, the Hydro Bone has sold in big-time retailers like Petco, Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond, to name only three of the many stores that have sold the product. The Hydro Bone was named a Dog Fancy Editors’ Choice Award winner; it already has been featured on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and CBS’ “The Early Show.”

Now, we can add Fox & Friends to that national TV list!

Hydro toys quench Hotlanta’s thirst for innovative pet toys

Davison’s Hydro toys were featured on Atlanta’s CBS “Better Mornings,” hosted by Jennifer Valdez. Jennifer welcomed international pet expert Charlotte Reed – a corporate lawyer who has grown her pet company from a one-woman operation to a premier, full-service pet care provider – to talk about some must-have dog toys to beat the summer heat.

Reed showcases the Hydro Ring and displays how the Hydro line refreshes parched pups by giving it a squeeze to release the water stored in its absorbent core.

The rest of the Hydro line was also featured on The Times Square Chronicles – a blog that brings a sense of community to Times Square’s three zip codes and beyond. Their article “Five Summer’s Must-Have Pet Products” notes they’re “the perfect way to quench your dog’s thirst as he plays. Serve frozen for fun on the hottest of days.”

The Hydro line is a set of hydrating chew toys that keep canines cool and content, even in hot weather. The water-holding toy combines refreshment with fun and quenches your dog’s thirst while playing. When soaked, the molded rubber bone’s foam core absorbs water, which is then released through specially designed holes as the toy is squeezed.

Hugs Pet Products will be sponsoring an event next Wednesday, August 1st in the Big Apple!  It’s a dating seminar to find your perfect mate, but there’s a twist – it’s for people that have pets!

Here’s how the website describes it: “In life, there are dating deal-breakers. Some include pets. Whether you are a city dweller or a suburbanite, finding a romantic interest is no easy feat, especially if you have a pet. ‘Finding the Pet Lover of Your Dreams,’ taught by MARRIED Petrendologist Charlotte Reed, is a class designed to help single pet owners discover how to meet their match, whether that person has a pet or not.”

Each single attendee will receive a gift basket, which will include the Davison-designed/Hugs Pet Products’ Hydro Bone!

Last week, we debuted the second in our 12-episode “Dare to Invent” series, featuring Pugz Shoes for Dogs, which we designed for our client, Kay.  We also told you about our current Facebook Pugz Shoes giveaway, running in conjunction with the webisode.  Just yesterday, we told you how the faux fur and faux leather dog booties were featured on CNBC’s top-10 list of “Cutting Edge Products for Your Pet.”

Well, we’ve received even more great news about some Davison-designed pet products.  According to our Vice President of Licensing (VP), the Hydro Family of hydrating chew toys is preparing to make an international splash! 

“HUGS Hydro toys are headed for the United Kingdom (UK)!” said our VP.

That’s right, orders have been placed for Hugs’ Hydro Ball, Hydro Bone and Hydro Saucer, plus, the two new members in the line, the Hydro Fetch and Hydro Ring!  The UK order, which includes over 18,000 units, is set to ship by the end of March.

Of course, just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, our VP surprised us again, informing us of another major international retailer interested in the Hydro Family.

“Hugs is [going to] Canada!” said Simbeck.

Oh, Canada?  Oh, yes!  The Hydro Bone and Hydro Saucer are packing their bags and heading to the store shelves of Walmart Canada!  Just like the UK order, our neighbor to the north has ordered over 18,000 units, too!

It is absolutely awesome to see the big “D” crossing international borders and we can’t wait to hear what exciting news comes next!  Congratulations to our clients and everyone who’s worked on these exciting pet products!
