If you haven’t heard of the deal-of-the-day website, Groupon, the chances are good that you may have been living under a rock for the past five years or so. While that may be a drastic statement, it is safe to say that Groupon is everywhere!

The global leader in commerce works something like this… every 24 hours, the brains behind the operation offer up an electronic coupon for a product, restaurant or service at typically 40-60% below cost.

Other than sharing sheer innovation in common, Groupon and Davison now have another link; we’re excited to announce that a Davison-designed product has been featured as one of Groupon’s showcased products!

In fact the Hot and Cold Back-Therapy Brace, which was licensed by Health Enterprises, was not only featured; but, it SOLD OUT in just a few, short hours!

While you can no longer purchase the Hot and Cold Back-Therapy Brace on Groupon, you can see what the site had to say about the Davison-designed product:

“A series of gel packs lines the brace to treat any aches with either hot or cold therapy. Its sturdy construction also helps protect against new problems by placing firm yet comfortable pressure on the lower back. The brace comes with five removable splints that users can remove for customized support.”

In addition to showcasing some of the product’s very functional features, Groupon also said, tongue in cheek, that the Hot and Cold Back-Therapy Brace“provides back support and a listening ear when you’re sad.” Now, that may be one feature we didn’t think of!

Davison’s TheraPED is now in OK! Magazine. “Pamper, stretch & refresh feet with TheraPED’s soothing Hot & Cold gel and toe spacers. Perfect after a day in heels, Zumba workout or to paint toenails in style!” reads the ad featured in the weekly print edition of OK! Magazine.

TheraPED tames tired tennis toes

Recently, Health Enterprises, Inc announced via press release that the TheraPED would be included in the star-studded 13^th Annual BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis VIP Gift Bags! The release reads:

“The unique event that takes place in New York City on Thursday, August 23^rd, combines elements of cuisine, sports and entertainment to kick off the US Open Tennis Championships. TheraPED soothes stay-at-home blogger

TheraPED once again is earning rave reviews from the stay-at-home mom set. In a recent blog post, One Bored Mommy – a blog determined to give honest product reviews, offer amazing giveaways and provide discount offers “exclusively” to the One Bored Mommy readers – tested the product along with her daughter. She writes:

“I’ve told you guys…just recently…that my feet have become severely uncomfortable in my favorite stilettos now (insert sad face here)…thanks to my ‘being barefoot’ or ‘wearing only flip flops’ habit.  It’s horrible to even wear them for an hour at church…my feet are just screaming for relief!

Davison’s TheraPED is featured in the 2012 Holiday Gift Guide Show program, which was distributed at the 2012 Holiday Gift Guide Show at the Marriott Marquis in the heart of Manhattan, N.Y. — Times Square.

“Pamper, stretch and refresh tired feet with the soothing Hot & Cold therapy of TheraPED,” reads part of the copy used to describe the TheraPED. The 2012 Holiday Gift Guide show is a tabletop exhibition that allows merchandisers one-on-one time with some of the top media in charge of holiday gift guides. The program featured the TheraPED alongside products from Black & Decker, 1-800-FLOWERS, FARBERWARE, Hamilton Beach and many other trustworthy household names, as well as some exciting up-and-comers.

The gift guide program is just one of many high-profile media rounds the TheraPED has treaded in the past several months. The TheraPED was selected as one of the exclusive items to be included in the gift bags given to artists who perform during the 45th Annual CMA Awards; it will be featured in gift bags for attendees of NYC’s Taste of Tennis — a US Open celebration; and has been celebrated by Z-LIFE Magazine — the official publication of Zumba Fitness.

The TheraPED was designed by Lennell Parks and Davison to soothe “hot feet.” The user can choose hot or cold therapy and then just slip their toes between the spacers on the fashionable wrap for gentle realignment. Four gel pads comfort the top, sides and bottom of the foot. It is also great for corns and calluses! Made of soft neoprene, the wrap fits either foot and is secured with straps on top and at the ankle. One size fits all!
