Our always-creative and sometimes-crazy “Dare to Invent” cast is back with their latest product development success story… the Chilly Mat! In this webisode, which is now live on our website, Corporate Creative Director Jason Rogge leads a design team that includes Creationeers Curtis and Clay, as they work on our client, Diana’s idea to relieve pets from sweltering heat.

Up to their usual hilarious antics, the trio design, engineer and test a product prototype in a steamy scenario…You’ll have to watch the video to find out what we’re talking about!

But, as often happens, the targeted licensing company doesn’t warm right up to the prototype, so Rogge’s design team goes back to the drawing board to find a Better Way to create Diana’s Chilly Mat idea.

As the story goes, this “cool” new puncture-resistant, durable plastic Chilly Mat has become such a hot commodity that it’s being sold under several different labels within the Hugs Pet Company. Maze, Chillz, and now Paula Dean!

When she visits Inventionland, founder and CEO Mr. Davison takes part in surprising our unsuspecting client inventor, Diana, who sees her product in full packaging for the first time, then receives another big surprise when she is handed her largest royalty check to date!

Without a doubt, this latest “Dare to Invent” webisode is full of unforgettable antics and sweltering surprises that are sure to have you laughing and quite possibly crying out with joy at the success of our client, Diana, and her Chilly Mat product idea.

Can’t get enough of that sweet treat our client, Christine Walker, came up with to tame her piggish classmates’ disgusting cookie-eating ways?  You’re in luck!

Not only will Christine and her Brownie Bowl (courtesy of her Dare to Invent webisode) accompany Mr. Davison on tomorrow (12/13/12) morning’s episode of Lifetime TV’s “The Balancing Act” (also airing 12/20/12), we’re also giving our Pinterest followers a chance to win their very own Brownie Bowls in our “Holiday Desserts” giveaway!

“The Balancing Act” airs at 7 a.m. and will showcase our Better Way to Invent, while Mr. Davison talks about how Davison has turned so many invention ideas into reality.  After that, Christine’s Brownie Bowl takes center stage as her Dare to Invent webisode illustrates the journey her product made to store shelves.

When she was in high school, Christine witnessed her boyfriend and his football teammates sloppily soaking cafeteria cookies by simply drenching their trays with milk.

At the time, she thought, “Wouldn’t this be so much better in the shape of a bowl?” and she shared her idea with her mom, then went off to college in New York.

One day, the self-proclaimed obsessive baker whipped up a batch of cookies for her personal trainer and told him about her “dunked cookie” idea.  As it turned out, he had a friend who also had worked with Davison; so, he sent Christine our way.

Davison Creationeers got to work on Christine’s solution for sloppy sweets and the Brownie Bowl has sold nationally and on QVC.com.

With a silicone design, the bowls are able to cook at pretty much any temperature with any recipe, they’re dishwasher safe and can cook cakes, breads, brownies, muffins, and, of course, cookies evenly every time.

Davison founder and CEO George Davison and our client, Lennell Parks, along with her TheraPED (as part of her “Dare to Invent” webisode) will be the featured guests on Lifetime TV’s “The Balancing Act” tomorrow, November 8th at 7:00am.

The story behind the TheraPED not only is a triumphant solution for Lennell’s discomfort, but also a celebration of an inventor’s ingenuity that now helps countless consumers who suffer from foot pain.

Initially, the innovative spa-therapy product was created to provide comfort from the “hot feet” she experienced as a result from multiple sclerosis. The TheraPED offers cooling therapy and is designed with multi-functional gel pads that also provide moist heat for the top, sides and bottom of feet.

Licensed by Health Enterprises, the TheraPED has been a big hit among yoga and Zumba bloggers and was included in gift bags at the 45th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards!

In a separate interview, Mr. Davison summed up the amazing collaborative effort for the TheraPED.

A Davison-designed product that promises to make a healthier meatball is dripping with tons of recent press.  Featured last week on Lifetime TV’s “The Balancing Act,” the Meatball Baker also appears in Cre8tive Compass Magazine (C8C) online.

According to the site, C8C is “ALL about exploring, creating and most importantly LIVING the creative life” (something we are DEFINITELY all about, too).  C8C’s Rebecca E. Parsons, who is also a frequent blogger for “The Balancing Act,” tested the Meatball Baker by creating meatballs, skewered shrimp, shish-kabobs, sausages and bratwurst in the pan.

How did it work?  Her blog title, “I Love My Meatball Baker, Pinterest Contests and Giveaways,” says it all!

In the article, Parsons goes on to explain just what she loved so much about our client Jean’s meatball-baking machine.  Here are a few snippets:

“I was smitten when it arrived. My creative imagination went into overdrive…”

“No more misshapen, flat on one side meatballs for me. They come out round and perfect every time. See my meatballs and brats on the removable grid? Nifty for any size meatball and many other foods as well.”

Hope all is well with you!!! Every now and then, I visit Davison’s website to see all the new products. [I] just viewed many of the Dare to Invent videos of the many products and the individuals connected to them. They are fun to watch and quite amusing. It was even more fun when I stumbled across the Hydro Bone. Davison has a very impressive staff of creativity!!! To stop and think about all of the ingredients combined into that one bowl to become a mix of energies is so grand. Congrats to Mr. Davison, you and the team!!! Wow!!!

The Hydro Bone, which hydrates pooches in play, has been celebrated by Petside.com’s (an NBC company) Charlotte Reed, who praised the Hydro Bone for, “Combining fun and chewing-refreshment.” And called it “ …the ultimate hydrating chew toy for your pet.” The Hydro Bone also won A 2010 Dog Fancy Magazine Editors’ Choice Award.

George Davison (CEO & Founder of Davison) and the inventor of the Silicone Dessert Bar Pan Joseph Springer (as part of his Dare to Invent episode) will be featured on the next episode of Lifetime’s “The Balancing Act,” America’s premier one-hour women’s morning show dedicated to creating trusted solutions for today’s woman.

Mr. Davison and host Danielle Knox (Wednesday, August 1st at 7:00 a.m.) will discuss the ins and outs of the Davison Inventing method and the Silicone Dessert Bar Pan before and after the airing of Joe’s episode of “Dare to Invent” – the webisode series that explores what can happen when everyday people work with Davison to make their invention ideas a reality.

Marines are tough and their brownies should be as well, at least according to Silicone Dessert Bar Pan inventor Joe Springer. Joe preferred the crispy edges of his baked goods so much that he would pilfer the crusty corners of his family’s freshly baked brownies.

“I would cut around the edges and my wife and mother in-law would yell. Of course, it was me,” exclaims Springer. Joe created the Silicone Dessert Bar Pan to relieve himself of his brownie-bandit ways and to provide others with a neater and easier way to bake brownies and other desserts. Brownies often bake unevenly, then crumble and end up different sizes when cutting and lifting them out of a standard pan. A metal pan is also hot to the touch for a long time after removal from the oven.

Davison Creationeers created the Silicone Dessert Bar Pan to simplify and streamline the brownie-baking process. Unlike metal bakeware, the pan is flexible and remains cool to the touch. The 12 candy-bar shaped molds can be filled with brownie batter, Rice Krispie treats or cookie dough, and each piece comes out perfect! The pan bends for easy removal of items after baking, while the rigid frame molded into the perimeter makes the pan safe to carry. It is also dishwasher safe.
