Innovative Artist

This takes the term “mug shot” to the next level!  This artwork, created by Hong Yi, is made entirely by the rings of a coffee mug.

Yi, better known as Red Hong, is quoted as saying, “I love to create art.  Not with the usual paint brush and watercolor and pencils though – I like to grab whatever I can get hold of – rocks, ketchup, milk, salt, shirts – and turn them into art.  It’s more fun that way!”

Working In a Bubble

General Design, Industrial Design

This workspace was retrofit into a 19th century building in Paris and was designed to have many wood, steel and glass features. Of the unique features are Plexiglas telephone-domes, Ficus Panda trees and a self-cleaning glass roof.

What an impressive way to sell the Sharp brand of blades by WMF knives. Fine art and fine fruits, together at last.
