Good Theory, Bad Design

General Design, Product Design

bad product design

This folding bicycle helmet makes for a good idea in theory, but in practice it was a flop. Barred from sales in the United States, buyers can only purchase this item by circumventing strict U.S. safety standards and getting it shipped internationally. When designing anything, you should not compromise the safety of the end user. This collapsible helmet design, case in point.
