More Davison-designed products have hit the big screen again! Several innovative Hugs Pet Products were featured on the Time Warner Home Network’s #1 show for home and family Welcome Home!

Already hugely successful at the 2011 Global Pet Expo in Orlando this March, Hugs President Katie showed off the Dog Wash, Better Tether and all three toys within the line of hydrating chew toys – the Hydro Bone, Hydro Ball and Hydro Saucer!

Katie said the Hydro toys, which absorb water and slowly release it as pets chew and squeeze, offer “great fitness for both the pet and the owner! Great for their hydration… there’s nothing like it!”

Prior to this TV appearance, Hugs products already have received much attention and exposure.

The award-winning Dog Wash has been a featured item in the upscale In the Company of Dogs catalog and the Hydrobone has been featured on Good Morning America and in both Dog Fancy and In the Company of Dogs magazines. The Better Tether is also set to hit store shelves this June!

Welcome Home reporter Mike Warrick said of Hugs innovative products, “No matter if you’re looking to clean your pet, give comfort to your pet or play with your pet, you have an answer for everything!”

Congratulations to everyone who worked on these amazing products! To view the entire Welcome Home segment, visit Welcome Home TV.

2011 CHA SHOW YIELDS NEW CONTACTS, OPPORTUNITIES

Uncategorized

Davison’s VP of Licensing was getting crafty on the West Coast last week, where he attended the 2011 Craft & Hobby Association Winter Convention & Trade Show – the world’s largest professional craft and hobby show.

“It was a good show,” the VP said, “We made a lot of good contacts – some already existing, some brand new.”

“We’re now looking to establish more lines with our partners, where we can continue to provide other avenues for client projects in the craft and hobby world.”

Almost all the many products that Davison has created for Prym, Darice and Fons & Porter were on display, including the Better Bobbin, Twirl-A-Ring, and the Travel Folding Stitcher’s Tools, to name just a few. All the products continue to sell and receive good feedback, he reported. The VP also met with a new company, Midwest Products, and established a relationship that will enable them to start reviewing products from Davison and our inventor clients.

“Overall it was a great show,” he said. “It’s always nice to meet corporate partners face to face, and we continue to provide innovation to them to grow their product line and continue to put royalties back into our clients’ pockets.”

While no client should expect that his idea will be presented at a trade show, Davison’s presence at trade shows is invaluable in building contacts and keeping in touch with companies that are looking for new or improved products.”

RELATIONSHIPS WITH TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES STRENGTHENED AT CES SHOW

Our team of Licensing gurus traveled to Las Vegas to attend the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow. There, some of the world’s most cutting edge technology companies across global industries dazzled attendees with the latest innovative products.

“It was awesome,” said Davison’s VP of Licensing. The hit of the show was 3D, which, he said, is coming to everything — TVs, cameras, camcorders, gaming, etc. “It was pretty cool; definitely a different experience.” In addition to viewing all the latest technology, the team met with several companies they had already been working with and had presented products to.

“The meetings went well … We’re trying to find the right products to fit in their lines,” the VP said. “It was good to meet somebody face to face and to understand their product line a little better.”

He also reported that, in addition, they reached out to some of the top corporations in the world, including Microsoft, Polaroid, Sony and Motorola.

“It was a good show; we are looking to hopefully receive some feedback from some very large companies,” he said. “We’re working on opening up dialogue with those companies.”

While no client should expect that his idea will be presented at a trade show, Davison’s presence at trade shows is invaluable in building contacts and keeping in touch with companies that are looking for new or improved products.”

DAVISON HAS STRONG PRESENCE AT AAPEX/SEMA

Davison’s Vice President attended the 2009 AAPEX / SEMA trade show in Las Vegas, where several Davison-designed products and packaging were turning heads of attendees.

SEMA is an automotive specialty trade products convention that attracts a large number of leaders in the automotive industry. AAPEX is the world’s largest business-to-business event for the automotive aftermarket industry.

Numerous Davison designed products were on display, including the RV Leveler and the Wireless Turn Signal Mirrors, which were de

veloped for CIPA, as well as Mirrors and Arrow Signals, for which Davison designed innovative packaging. The response to the products, which have been on the market a little while, was very good, said the VP. He also found one of Davison’s first successful products, which was created for Flo Tool International — the Oil Filter Gripper, which was on display as part of a promotional in the Hopkins Manufacturing Booth.

“It was really great to see that,” said the VP.

Davison has an active relationship with numerous companies that were at the show, and the Vice President personally met with representatives from several of the corporations including Larin, Carrand, Hopkins, Wagan Corp., Budge Ind., Mallory Ind., Pilot Automotive, Dee Zee, CIPA, and On the Edge Marketing.

“In today’s economy, companies are venturing outside their core line to be able to show their customers or buyers something that separates them from everyone else.” The VP said. “Now more than ever companies are looking for products that will diversify their product line … The goal is to offset their business model, and we can help balance it for them.”

While no client should expect that his idea will be presented at a trade show, Davison’s presence at trade shows is invaluable in building contacts and keeping in touch with companies that are looking for new or improved products.”
